Villa Yoya 1901 where the view is filled with the jungle

"Mayari, secluded little village, bloomed little valley in the soul of Oriente" so translates a verse from an old popular Cuban songbook. Literally hidden in the valley that has given its name and surrounded by the opulent elevations of La Sierra Cristal, Mayari rests on the fertile banks of its river, a few kilometers before it pours its water on the largest bay in Cuba, La Bahia de Nipe. It's a quaint dot on the map where the locals still say things like, 'I saw you last night walking up and down on the front street' or 'Sofia, Lelis niece, lives in the back street.'

If you are interested in the type of tourism that focuses its attention on nature, and are inclined to meet and learn about social groups different from yours (yet culturally authentic, and structurally complex), then Mayari is a place you have to include in your travel adventures.

Mayari, village of painters and poets, has the privilege to be the point between two other paradisiacal sites of the ecotourism in the Eastern Cuba; Pinares de Mayari and Cayo Saetia. It is also one of the small towns on the way from Holguin to Baracoa. In this town of eminent musicians is celebrated each year el Festival del Son. It is here, in Mayari, where for four consecutive nights, several national Son bands gather in its squares and parks to make locals and visitors dance jovially until daybreak.

Crossing el rio, immediately beyond Feltons Old Roads bridge in Chavaleta, you will find La Finca Carivisa, a cheerful hamlet where Villa Yoya 1901 has been built. This is the place where you'll want to stay the night while you enjoy the placid surrounding that nature has majestically created. The comfort of our clients and the quality of our services is a priority for our staff in Villa Yoya 1901. You are the center of every attention. Our mission is to please you.

Villa Yoya 1901 offers two double rooms with hot water and air conditioning. There are several lounge rooms, terraces, and a great roof with a 360 degree panoramic view of the jungle. Here you can isolate and enjoy nature in all its splendor or be part of Tia Digna's and her neighbors gatherings. Or you can do a little of both. Any option will be unforgettable, and will likely tug at your heart to be repeated. Villa Yoya 1901 runs as B&B (bed and breakfast). We await your visit.
